Internet Marketer

I have been a full time Internet Marketer for over five years now but have been involved with website development virtually since the beginning of the the web since the very early 90’s. However I must admit that it only became clear to me recently that’s what I am. I started my first online only business about five years ago, a webhost called webcontrol specialising in Mambo (now Joomla) sites. After merging that with another business I started BlueWolf.net.au selling door hardware online. This has now developed into two sites BlueWolf.net.au specialises in school hardware supplies and BudgetHandles.com.au that sells door hardware to renovators and owner builders. In August 2009 I attended a three day Internet Marketing seminar with James Schramko and realised that I have a wealth of knowledge and together with my educator skills I have from teaching web development and database design at TAFE (Technical and Further Education college in Australia) allowing me to write DIY manuals and give online support to setup your WordPress website and to help you monetise it. I specialise in the setup and integration of Zen-Cart into WordPress as your shopping cart solution.

My other interests are:

A quick rundown of what I have been up to in IT follows.

In 1989 I completed my BSc in Computing and immigrated from Germany to Australia.  I have held a range of IT and management positions in Sydney prior to moving to Dungog at the beginning of 2006. To highlight some of them:

• over the last 20 years I have gathered extensive experience in Opensource solutions, including as a user, administrator, developer and inter marketer
• Full time Internet Marketer since 2006 I have always being using Zen-Cart and often in conjuction of Joomla and since earlr 2009 I now use only WordPress for my websites and Zen-Cart as my shopping cart solution
• freelance web development & TAFE teacher in Networking and Web development
• Senior programmer / System Analyst for TTrack – web based timesheeting
• Operations Manager for a recruitment company specialising in labour hire
• For two years owned and operated an IT support company (Freedom IT)
• General Manager and IT Manager for a manufacturing company (staff of 80)
• IT Manager for a furniture manufacturer (staff of 60)
• System administrator for variious platforms (Windows NT and Windows 2000, SCO Unix, Xenix and AS/400)
