zenWP a Plugin for Integration of Zen-Cart Into WordPress

This plugin is to integrate Zen-Cart (ZC) into WordPress (WP) so you have to have WordPress installed to use this. If you haven’t got WordPress installed as yet you can use the DIY WordPress manual I have written if you wish, find out details about the manual here and you will also need to have ZC installed before you start. I also highly recommend Thesis as your WP theme however this plugin should work with any theme.

The core functionality it has at this point of time is to list all products of a ZC category in any WP page or post by inserting this short code:

[ zenwp_products cat_id=# ] be sure to remove space between [ and zen.. as well as between # and ] if you copy and paste from here.

where # is the category number found in ZC

Here’s a screen shot of a product listing in a WP page and after that I’ve outlined some of it’s features as well:

As you can see it finds any specials you might have and it also works for products priced by attributes and when you click and of the products you’re taken to the relevant product in your ZC shop. Tax rates are applied or if you don’t need them or haven’t specified then a comment will be added at the end of the list. Also worth mentioning that the images used are the medium size and where these can’t be found the default image is used instead.
